St. Elizabeth of HungaryAn extreme helper and servant to the poor and sick in her community, St. Elizabeth was a deep contemplative woman who gave all she had and was to the service of others. Catholicculture.org has a couple nice ideas on how to celebrate this day: bake some bread... teach your children the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. Her patronage includes: bakers. beggars, brides, charities, death of children, falsely accused people, hospitals, in-law problems, people ridiculed for their piety, tramps and widows.
