St. Ignatius of LoyolaToday let us pray especially for the Society of Jesus (just learned that the term "Jesuits" was initially an insult given to them by opponents) . St. Ignatius of Loyola was their founder in the 16th century and I'm certain he must be a strong intercessor for that group today. One of the greatest and most simple prayers of the Church was authored by this inspiring man:
Lord Jesus Christ, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding, and my will. All that I have and cherish you have given me. I surrender it all to be guided by your will. Your grace and your love and wealth are enough for me. Give me these, Lord Jesus, and I ask for nothing more. Amen.
